Mexico and Turbidity Curtains

Mexico has been starting to inquire about the usage of turbidity curtains/barriers in bridge construction and dredging projects.  That is always a good thing as there are so many countries starting to get on the band wagon about protecting marine life when marine construction projects are take place.  The inquiry of Turbidity Curtains means that they are on the right track to continue to preserve their marine life and waterways.

We think it’s time for Mexico to get into worldwide regulation concerning pollution generated by construction companies, we strongly believe that sooner or later turbidity curtains will be an obligation at every project across our country.

  2. juan says:

I believe its time for Mexican authorities to take care of pollution in all aspects, a serious damage to the environment is due to construction industry disposals, and therefore it will be great to start to regulate for the use of turbidity curtains to avoid this problem.

I agree, if we can take care of our country/environment (Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Venezuela, Guatemala, Panama, etc.) than life would be better for all. We would have a cleaner environment, cleaner streets and rivers, and life would be better for all of us. I wonder what would happen if all central & South America countries would do the same thing? Do you think they would join us in a cleaner world? Que opinan?

  4. RAFAEL says:

Once the goverment regulates the use of turbidity curtains and ask the contractors to use them in every sight where there is a project and penalize them in case they don’t comply that’s when the contractors will begin using them and we will all benefit from it.
