All of our fabrics are designed for long-term resistance to UV degradation, rot, and biological breakdown.

Geotextile fabric is a permeable synthetic material used with soil, rock, aggregate, and other construction materials to provide separation, filtration, drainage, stabilization, reinforcement, cushioning, and erosion control. Geotextiles are widely used in civil construction, roadwork, drainage, marine construction, landscaping, and environmental projects. GEI Works supplies both woven and non-woven polypropylene geotextiles for different project requirements.

Geotextiles are used for aggregate separation, drainage, road pavement, soil stabilization, cushioning, landscaping, liner underlay, sediment control, erosion protection, riprap applications, and asphalt overlays. The appropriate geotextile depends on the function the fabric must perform and the project’s engineering specifications.

Woven geotextiles are manufactured by weaving polypropylene fibers into a strong, dimensionally stable fabric and are commonly selected when strength, reinforcement, separation, and stabilization are priorities. Non-woven geotextiles have a felt-like construction and are commonly selected for filtration, drainage, separation, cushioning, and protection applications.

Woven geotextile is generally appropriate when a project requires high tensile strength, soil stabilization, reinforcement, or separation of soil and aggregate layers. Common applications include road construction, driveways, aggregate bases, construction access areas, and other applications where maintaining structural stability is important.

Non-woven geotextile is commonly selected when filtration, drainage, separation, cushioning, or protection is the primary objective. Applications include drainage systems, riprap underlayment, erosion control, liner protection, landscaping, road repair, and other projects where water must pass through the fabric while soil particles are retained.
